Exams

On the set dates during the academic calendar take place the three exam sessions:

  1. January session;
  2. June session;
  3. September session.

Possible exam demands outside the session should be done filling in the relevant form that can be downloaded from the Forms section.

Final exam

In line with Specialist degrees, to get the Master of Arts in Comparative Canon and Ecclesiastical Law the student has to write a final paper (=dissertation) that allows the referral Examining Board to verify the knowledges acquired during the two-year course (scientific methods, disciplinary subject-matter, critical judgment, overall view skills, etc.). The student also has to deliver the dissertation in front of the Examining Board.

Please note: for the writing of the thesis, students have to follow the editorial instructions and ask for the title page at the secretary’s office.

In the Forms section are available the form "Modulo di approvazione e conferma della tesi" and "Formulario d'iscrizione all'esame".

At the Faculty of Theology of Lugano marks are expressed from 1 to 10 and correlated in the following way:

  • 6-6,5: probatus;
  • 6,6-7,5: bene probatus;
  • 7,6-8,5: cum laude;
  • 8,6-9,5: magna cum laude;
  • 9,6-10: summa cum laude.
